1972 - a 'good' year for closures

The worst of Beeching might have been over but we were by no means out of the wood. Featured here are Caernarvon/Caernarfon, Keswick and Wolverhampton Low Level all of which went in 1972, and Alston which lingered on until 1976. Both Caernarfon and Alston have of course acquired narrow gauge lines subsequently.
